Ulysses 31!
Ulysses 31 was a cartoon shown made in 1981 and can still be seen on Fox Kids nowerdays occasionaly. It consisted of 26 episodes.
Ulysses 31 is about a man (called Ulysses) who has to fight the god called Cyclops after he kidnaped his son Telemachus. After Ulysses defeates Cyclops he angers the gods. So Zeus is sent to punnish them where he trnsfers them to the far reaches of Earth and tells them that their only hope of ever seeing earth again is to find the kingdom of Hades. And here their quest begins.
As you can tell by the story line it is quite complex for children to undersatand, but still I like it and on times found it intresting, when it talks about the Greek Gods

The Mysterious Cities Of gold
The mysterious cities of gold was a cartoon shown in the 1980's twice. It consisted of 39 episodes and was a series, so the episodes continued after each other. This was personaly my favourite cartoon which I grew up with.
Anyway The mysterious cities of gold was set in the 16th century. It was about three kids, Esteban, Zia and Tao who find themself in the hands of Mendoza. Mendoza realises that Esteban and Zia know how to get to the acient cities of gold. So he asks them to take hime and they grudingly accept. But it's not just them who realise Esteban and Zia capabilites, so Mendoza now has to protect Esteban and Zia if he wants to reach the cities of gold. Sorry for the vague description I was trying to keep it short without any spoilers.
So anyway I believe this is the best childrens cartoon ever. It had brilliant graphics for it's time and is also quite educational in parts.

Ewoks!
The Ewoks Were a cartoon which again was shown in the 80's. It was created by LucasFilm and was a spinoff cartoon of the Star wars films.
The cartoon series featured the Ewoks battling on their home planet of Endor, against evil creatures led by King Gorneesh, who would try to capture the Ewoks.
Sorry about the vague description but I only remember watching the odd episode and there are hardly any websites devoted to Ewoks.

Dogtanion!
Dogtanion is the hero and is acompanied with his two dog friends who set out to become muskehound.
This is a cartoon spinoff of the story of d’Artagnun and the three Musketeers originally written by Alexandre Dumas, but it was adapted to feature dogs.
This too was another great cartoon from the 80's

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles!
This was a huge success through the 80's and can still be seen today on CBBC. In the early 90's there were three films made out of the Turtles. In America the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles were known as Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles. But in the Uk they were known as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.
The turtles were guided by a rat named splinter and were in constant battle against Krang and Shredder.
That is the best description I could find.
